This workshop will be at an advanced level and will help you with the tips and tricks of tendon management.  It will assist with clinical reasoning of complex tendon injuries in the hand and wrist.  We will discuss what you know about tendons, what you don’t know about tendons and what you think you know in a relaxed format. We will look at the anatomy, biomechanics and healing. The workshop is aimed at a medium to advanced level. It will take an in depth look at all tendon injuries including but not limited to, mallet, central slip, long finger flexors, zone 5 extensors and wrist tendons. We will examine mechanism of injury, differential diagnoses, their assessment and management. This course is suitable for Hand Therapists, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists working in hospitals, private practice or community settings treating and assessing upper limb fractures. An understanding of hand anatomy will be assumed.
