Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) with Honours – Practitioner of Hand Therapy

Vanessa graduated from Sydney University in 2009 and worked for several years as a Physiotherapist in Western Sydney in both private practice and the hospital setting. Since relocating to Melbourne in 2014, Vanessa has been pursuing a specialisation in hand therapy, and completed her Certification in Hand Therapy in 2016.


As a practitioner of hand therapy at Action Rehab, Vanessa has undergone further training to develop skills in thermoplastic splinting, wound and scar management, dry needling, treatment of sports injuries and exercise prescription. Vanessa has a particular interest in fracture management and trauma, however enjoys seeing a wide variety of conditions including CMC OA (thumb arthritis) and De Quervain’s tenosynovitis.


Vanessa is a retired elite gymnast, and continues to enjoy keeping fit and healthy. On the weekends you will likely find her having brunch in Melbourne, going for a bike ride or travelling back to Sydney to see family and friends.
