Practitioner of Hand Therapy – Physiotherapist

Amanda Graduated with honours from the University of Notre Dame in Western Australia in 2010. Amanda started her career at Fremantle hospital where she worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings. In the last 18 months at Fremantle she worked in the musculoskeletal outpatient and hand therapy department.  From WA, Amanda moved to London where she worked as a locum physiotherapist. She spent the majority of the 2.5 years at Chelsea and Westminster hospital working in burns and hand therapy. Amanda returned from overseas in 2015 where she came to work with Ben Cunningham and the team at Action Rehab.

Since returning, Amanda has successfully completed the Certification in Hand Therapy exam and has become a full member of the AHTA. Amanda has also co-presented a shoulder workshop run by Action Rehab. As a practitioner at Action Rehab, Amanda has a keen interest in the rehabilitation of shoulders and acute fracture management and soft tissue trauma in both paediatrics and adults. Having said this, Amanda enjoys treating a wide variety of conditions such as wrist instability and tendinopathy.

Amanda is a retired elite volleyball who enjoys all kinds of sport. She loves to travel and is really enjoying getting to know Melbourne again with all that it has to offer. After living in the UK, she is loving being back in the city of good coffee!

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) with Honours

  • Full Member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association
