What painful pregnancy related hand conditions do we treat?

Trigger Finger and Pregnancy

Trigger Finger is common in pregnancy due to increased swelling which causes compression of the tendon in your finger. This can cause a “locking” of the finger tip.

Our services include: Orthotics/Night splinting, massage, joint protection, education, and strengthening.

If you are interested in further information on Trigger finger, and how we diagnose and treat this painful condition please visit our Trigger Finger Treatment Service page.

Wrist Pain During Pregnancy

Wrist Pain (de Quervain’s Tenosynovitis) is inflammation of the tendon sheath in your wrist. It causes burning pain with movement of your thumb and wrist.

We provide: orthotics/splinting, massage, education, modification of activities of daily living, and strengthening.

If you are interested in further information on how we diagnose, treat and manage wrist pain please visit our de Quervain’s Tenosynovitis Treatment Service page.

Carpal Tunnel Post Pregnancy

Carpal Tunnel post pregnancy is common in pregnancy due to increased swelling which causes compression of a nerve in your wrist. This can result in significant pins and needles, numbness and weakness in your hand.

Our services include: Orthotics/Night splinting, massage, joint protection, education, and strengthening.
