Clinic

The Urgent Care Clinic is for people who have sustained an acute injury and need early assessment and treatment by primary care Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists who have extensive experience in hand and upper limb rehabilitation. The purpose of this clinic is to improve timeliness of closed hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder injuries and decrease people’s reliance on GP and Emergency Department services where there is often a long wait.

Benefits to you, the patient?

By following this you will save valuable time (wasted in Emergency departments or waiting for a GP appointment and then specialist referral) and money (spent at the GP or unnecessary specialist appointment) and receive the best most up to date and state of the art treatment for these conditions in Melbourne.

How to Refer?

Anyone can refer (you do not need a Doctor referral to be seen). Self referrals, patient walk-ins are welcome. Information and assistance can be found by calling 1300 762 227. Our clinics are open from 8am – 7pm Monday to Friday (outside those hours by appointment) and are conveniently located all over Melbourne.

What are the costs to attend?

Appointments include assessment and treatment of your condition and will often include an orthosis or protective splint/plaster. The consultation cost is $95 (payment required on the day of service). Additional costs apply for the orthosis and can be requested when you call 1300 762 227. Health fund rebates through private health insurers are covered where you have extras cover with the required private health coverage. Please see our “rebates” section for further information.
